A POWERFUL new mural honouring Australia's servicemen and women now graces the exterior of the West Wyalong Services and Citizens Club, thanks to the incredible work of renowned Australian artist Simon White and it is ready just in time for ANZAC Day 2025.

Simon, a contemporary muralist based in Gippsland, Victoria, visited West Wyalong last week to complete the large-scale artwork ahead of ANZAC Day commemorations. Known for his deeply moving, visually arresting murals across the country in publications such as The Age, and television series like ABC Landline, Simon’s latest work is already drawing admiration from both locals and visitors.

“I finished this war memorial mural for the West Wyalong Services and Citizens Club in West Wyalong, NSW,” Simon said.

“I’m always very honoured to be able to celebrate our servicemen and women in a mural. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

The mural blends Simon’s signature style - rich with emotion and historical reverence - with symbolic elements that reflect both the local community and the broader ANZAC legacy. It stands not just as an artwork, but as a visual tribute to courage, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of remembrance.

Simon White is celebrated across Australia for his large-scale murals, portraits, landscapes, and urban street scenes. His murals are more than just painted walls—they are stories in colour, each one crafted to connect with its environment and the people who encounter it.

He brings each project to life in collaboration with his clients, aiming to deliver bespoke pieces that are unique, inspiring, and beautifully executed. His historical and landscape-based murals draw thousands of visitors nationwide and play a key role in celebrating community identity and heritage.

“Simon is not just an artist - he’s a storyteller,” said a Club representative told WWA.

“This mural captures the solemn beauty of ANZAC Day, and we’re honoured to now have this incredible tribute on our walls.”

Simon’s artwork in West Wyalong adds to a growing national collection that educates, commemorates, and inspires. You can explore more of his work at:
