THE annual Sore Butts Charity Ride, hosted by the West Wyalong Horse Sports and Rodeo Group, is set to return with its signature blend of community spirit and countryside charm. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, 16 August 2024, in Tallimba, following a tradition of rotating this annual event through the villages in the Bland Shire.
Participants are invited to bring their horses, families, and friends for a scenic ride through the picturesque local terrain, taking in the peaceful beauty of farms and bushland. More than just a day in the saddle, this ride carries a meaningful purpose: to raise vital funds for CanAssist, a local charity that supports those affected by cancer.
The event fosters a strong sense of togetherness, with meals, accommodation options, and a lively post-ride auction that keeps the energy going well into the evening. It’s a celebration of rural life, generosity, and shared purpose.
