Kerry Curran a HESTA Award finalist
Local RFBI employee up for prestigious nom

LOCAL resident and employee at RFBI West Wyalong Masonic Village – Kerry Curran – was announced as finalist in the 2025 HESTA Individual Leadership Excellence Awards.
The HESTA Individual Leadership Excellence Awards recognise individuals who have demonstrated innovative and impactful leadership in delivering initiatives to enhance the health and well-being of individuals, families and/or the community.
Kerry was nominated by her General Manager, Frances Morell, with the full endorsement of RFBI for her commitment to improving residents’ resident well-being, confidence and inclusion.
When asked, what the 2025 HESTA Excellence Awards nomination meant to her, Kerry said: “It means so much to be recognised and nominated for this award.
“To go to work and know that what I do is appreciated by both the residents and staff, is very satisfying. Being acknowledged for my commitment is amazing.”
Kerry joined the team at RFBI West Wyalong Masonic Village two years ago as member of the Catering team, Kerry but has found her passion in the laundry department. Through her leadership and meticulous standards, Kerry has elevated the laundry service with added care, excellence and respect.
“Kerry has been a great addition to our team. She is always looking for how she can find fun and inclusive ways to involve residents in her work, helping them to find routine, companionship and a sense of purpose.” Commented Frances Morell, General Manager.
“I am delighted that she has been recognised for her dedication by being named a finalist for the HESTA Excellence Award.”
Winners of the HESTA Excellence Awards will be announced at an event on Thursday 7 August 2025 – Aged Care Employee Day - in Melbourne. RFBI are proud to have Kerry as an employee and wish her the best of the luck next month.
