TALLIMBANS past and present gathered last weekend to celebrate the 100 year birthday of Tallimba Public School.

The day included stories, music, food and fanfare as locals, visitors and former locals shared stories and memories despite the freezing conditions.

Special guests included NSW National’s MP for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, former principal from 1975, Alan White and wife, Cynthia, as well as numerous other former staff and students.

With a current intake of only six students, who also played a big part in the day’s festivities, many reminisced about their time at the school over the years while sharing laughs to last a lifetime.

A celebratory cake was also unveiled and from all reports, it went down a treat. A big congratulations to the organising committee, staff and students past and present for a great day.
