Countdown is on to the West Wyalong Show!
Have you got your West Wyalong Show tickets?
THERE’S ONLY 12 days left until the 2025 West Wyalong Show on September 3 and excitement around town is already reaching fever pitch!
Whether you’re there for the cattle judging, dodgem cars, show food and beverages or simply a look around in the pavilion, there are plenty of reasons to load up the family and come and check out one of the state’s most icon agricultural shows.
There will be plenty to do if some of the above isn’t your style including comedy duck races, Young Woman competitions, a Young Farmer Challenge and much, much more!
The West Wyalong Show Society are now also online and tickets for the event as well as coupons for the rides are now available and going fast!
The West Wyalong Show Committee has been hard at work this year to maintain and improve the Showgrounds with the Sheep Yards re-roofed thanks to the RAS Foundation 2025 Community Futures Grant, helping protect the yard upgrades proudly sponsored by Quade Moncreiff.
The Bar Area has also had some improvements made possible with the help of Connellans Electrical, Cleary Civil & Earth, and Collin’s Cranes. The old bar roof is re-purposed to keep you cool and dry for afternoon tea by the pavilion. The Loading Ramp amendments made to the ramp to allow ease of unloading for Vintage Tractor Pull have also been completed.
In other news, a small but merry band of Show committee members have also been working very hard to enhance not just the appearance of the Ned’s Bar at the Showground but to make it a more workable space. By doubling the size of the roof area, patrons will have a much more weather friendly area to socialise and will allow space for entertainment as well.
The old bar has been relocated to beside the John Thomas Pavilion to make a shaded area for patrons sitting and enjoying their refreshments. These areas will also be well utilised by the travelling public during the year as well as those who may wish to hold a function on the ground.
The show will officially be opened by Ninoska Birchall, who was the Young Woman Finalist from Mudgee at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
This year in an endeavour to help people manage their budget, the WWSS have pre-purchase gate tickets available online (open now) or from the Secretary at the Show Office from two weeks prior to avoid the last minute rush.
And please note that September 3 this year is a gazetted half-day public holiday!
